PATIENT'S THYMUS CONDITION CONNECTED TO ALDARA USE

 

Through my continued contacts with others who have experienced problems associated with their use of Aldara, I have received information from a patient who has developed a thymus condition that her doctors believe is a direct result of her Aldara use.  Her doctors are continuing to evaluate her condition and explore the link between her present condition and Aldara.

 Early research published by 3M indicated a concern on their part with the effect of imiquimod (Aldara) on the thymus.  The thymus plays a very important role in the immune system, and interference with thymus function can have serious consequences.
