8 / 10 / 05 SPIN ON SALES DECLINE
Well, 3M has chose to spin low Aldara sales in the following fashion which they think will allow them to avoid disclosing the "exact" 2nd quarter '05 gross sales figures for Aldara. This comes directly out of their '05 Q-10 SEC report.
Health Care sales growth was broad-based, led
by medical,
orthodontics, drug delivery and health information systems, but tempered by
the impact of increased pricing and competitive pressures in 3M's Personal
Care and Related products business and a slowdown in the growth rate of
sales in 3M's Aldara pharmaceutical product.
In addition, in the second quarter of 2005, 3M
experienced a slowdown in the growth rate of sales in 3M's Aldara
pharmaceutical product, which received approvals in 2004 for use in the
treatment of actinic keratosis (a pre-cancerous skin condition) and
superficial basal cell carcinoma (a common form of non-melanoma skin cancer).
Operating income increased 13.2% in the second quarter of 2005, and was up
15.6% for the first six months of 2005.
I think anyone could have put a better spin on such a major problem as the present Aldara sales than calling it a "slowdown". This is their number one company product for profit margins, it is holding up the entire Phara Division, its multi-quarter low sales has been going on for months with no end in site, all their "alliances" and deals with other entities are banking on this imiquimod molecule, 3M stock is taking a beating as a result of diminishing Aldara sales, and all they can come up with for a diversion tactic is "slowdown".
Look, you can bet on one thing, 3M board rooms are highly charged right now. They are frantically seeking some kind of evidence for this dismal position they find themselves in and frankly they are looking at the problem each day, it is Dr. Slade in the HealthCare Division. He is the one who long ago set the stage for all of this to eventually come down the pipeline for the company. He in his own words stated he formulated and directed all of the clinical trials programs where the problems they are now faced with originated. Many others were involved of course but Dr. Slade is the main culprit and he himself must eventually answer to his company, and he will, for his past actions.
Meanwhile, more innocent users of Aldara will go on being injured while they sit around in their board rooms mulling over how to further suppress the harmful truth about Aldara. They hope, of course, to eventually dig themselves out of this self-induced hole they have dug for themselves along with Dr. Slade's help over the years.
It is our job to make sure they never get their heads above water again. We can do this by continuing to do what we have done so well over the past 3-years which is tell everyone you can about this website. Tell your doctors, tell any and everyone interested in the subject of Aldara and we will continue making the difference. 3M actually considered aldara1.com to be a benign "pimple" that would eventually heal up and go away yet it has now grown into the overwhelming force you now see and rely upon daily for the truth about Aldara.
I can now report that this site will soon undergo a drastic makeover and when it does there will be so much more materials for you to review than you ever thought possible on the subject of Aldara. I have been collecting testimony, etc, from the Vioxx trial here in Texas and I can report to you that 3M's history with Imiquimod and Aldara is precisely the road Merck took in their Vioxx clinical trials and then some. They all follow the same path during clinical trials but the key issue with 3M/Aldara is that I have all the proof any court or governmental watch dog agency could ever hope to have locked away for safe keeping. In fact, I think a court trial will be totally unnecessary for unlocking the wrong doing behind Aldara and 3M.
