UPDATE  8/17/05

Once again, 3M is all but refusing to release 2nd quarter sales data on Aldara.  Reliable sources indicate why!  Aldara is going no where in the market place in spite of all the promotion money and selective positive data (propaganda) being thrown at the problem.  Public dissemination of the truth about Aldara is now running rampant throughout the internet among both users, their doctors, the media and indeed stock analyst groups from around the world.  The momentum is finally taking hold and I hope will soon spell demise for this very dangerous drug and, in my opinion, to the conspiratorial environment that has allowed severe injuries to take place far too long now off the public's radar screen.

3M can not continue indefinitely on this course of slow release of information on quarterly sales for Aldara.  They have had this policy in place for at least the past 5 dismal quarters but the SEC requires them to timely post sales data and it will eventually happen.  I will post that data here on this page as soon as 3M gets around to figuring out how they can once again best "s p i n" the low sales numbers to their benefit.

Remember, 3M's last CEO, repeatedly told his stockholders, year after year, that Aldara "was the future life blood and salvation" for their pharmaceutical division if not for the entire company.  He is no longer on payroll, I might add.  From all the divisions within 3M, the Health Care division is by far the most profitable, as you would expect, and therefore is most responsible for their continued low stock value due to sluggish sales for their number one product, Aldara.

Again, everyone world wide, keep up your work of spreading the news about this website.  We are making a profound difference in world safety for users of Aldara.

UPDATE 7/1/05

Morgan Stanley lowered its rating on the company to equal weight from overweight before the opening bell, citing McNerney's departure and "disappointing" data on Aldara, a cream used to treat genital warts, that the firm said raises questions about 3M's long-term growth. "In our view, MMM is now a 'show-me stock' and looks like dead money over the near term," Morgan Stanley said.

My thanks to everyone who has worked so hard to promote this website. Aldara1.com continues to provide the single source for getting the truth out about Aldara. The above recent report demonstrates that our hard work is paying off in the name of patient safety and well being.

ALDARA FAILS TO MEET MARKET EXPECTATIONS

Sales of Aldara went essentially “flat” in the 3rd quarter of 2004, apparently surprising both 3M, and stock market analysts and investors.

The following is an excerpt from the “Dallas Morning News – Business Section, Tuesday October 19, 2004”:

3M EARNINGS MISS ANALYSTS’ EXPECTATIONS

…investors also may have been concerned that 3M showed little sales growth of its Aldara cream – originally a wart treatment that has now been approved for some types of cancer.

Aldara is the single biggest product in 3M’s health care pipeline, ….. and investors probably expected more from it with the new approvals.

I am much less surprised and much more pleased by this report.  In my opinion, a growing awareness on the part of physicians and patients about the risks and potential dangers of Aldara is one of the reasons, and probably the primary reason, that sales are not increasing as 3M expected them to.  I am very encouraged by the indication that people are increasingly questioning whether pharmaceutical companies are willing to take unacceptable risks with patients’ health in the interests of their own profits.

I cannot and do not claim that this site is the sole reason for “softening” of Aldara sales, but I do feel it has had a noticeable impact by informing the public about the harm Aldara is capable of inflicting on some portions of the patient population.  Information is power, and I am gratified that this site is providing information to help people take more control over decisions that can significantly affect their health for years to come.

Thank you for assisting me in making this website such a “hit” among users and potential users of Aldara, and for helping to expand its impact.  I am especially grateful for the feedback from the physicians and clinical personnel who have shared their knowledge and experiences as we all seek to learn the whole truth about the drug Aldara.
